About Trish

Empathy is the heart of healing

Trish Scoular, MPCC, is a trauma-informed clinical counsellor dedicated to supporting women through the complex emotional seasons of adulthood — the periods where responsibilities grow, roles shift, and it becomes harder to find space for yourself. With a Master Practitioner in Clinical Counselling designation and completion of the Sanyas Indigenous Cultural Safety Training, she offers care that is respectful, culturally aware, and grounded in evidence-based practice.

Before becoming a counsellor, Trish spent 24 years working as a Continuing Care Assistant supporting seniors and their families. Those years shaped her belief that healing is built through steady connection, patience, and the feeling of truly being seen. Today, she integrates modalities such as CBT, Narrative Therapy, mindfulness, somatic awareness, and expressive arts (when appropriate) to support women navigating anxiety, grief, burnout, life transitions, and the lingering effects of trauma.

Trish brings a calm, steady presence to her sessions — creating a supportive space where clients can slow down, explore what feels overwhelming, and develop resilience at a pace that feels safe and manageable.

A Journey of Compassion

Trish's Heartfelt Motivation

Trish’s commitment to counselling grew from her own lived experience of caring for others and witnessing how deeply compassion can shape someone’s well-being. As she supported her grandmother through the challenges of aging, she saw firsthand the difference that patience, presence, and genuine connection can make. Later, through decades of working alongside seniors and their families, she learned how often women carry the emotional labour of life — quietly, consistently, and often without support.

These experiences inspired her to create a space where women don’t have to hold everything together on their own. A space where they can speak openly, set down what feels heavy, and reconnect with their own inner steadiness.

For Trish, counselling is about offering the kind of support she knows women rarely give themselves: a calm, non-judgmental place to be honest, to be uncertain, to be tired, to be hopeful — and to be heard. Her motivation is rooted in the belief that healing becomes possible when someone walks beside you with empathy, cultural humility, and respect.
